As part of a larger campus upgradation, this project transforms a single-story storage facility into an office space through a distinct structural language. The expansion is supported by a new reinforced concrete frame, anchored by a cantilevered exposed concrete staircase. To address the lighting constraints of the deep floor plate, indirect ceiling cutouts create dynamic light slats. These apertures are seasonally calibrated: providing soft, indirect illumination during the summer and allowing more direct, dramatic light to penetrate during winter.
The director’s lounge utilizes a refined modernist palette, pairing reclaimed Burma teak with reflective black Cuddapah flooring featuring stainless steel inlays. Capped by an exposed Deodar ceiling, the space terminates in an extruded structural portal, creating a deliberate visual connection to the ayurvedic garden below.
